Small painting of colored squares. The painting is not complete yet. It has 100 squares in a 10x10 grid. There are blues and purples at the top that fade into greens, reds, oranges, browns and yellows.

Working through an idea.
I like parts of it.
I think I need to drop it for tonight and work on something else though. The pink/reds need reworking but I’m undecided about how right now…

Left side of the spider lily is almost done.

These bloomed in our yard last year. However, the kids dug up the bulbs in spring not realizing what they were… so we had none this year.
They apparently symbolize death… but also rebirth. They felt like a warning and encouragement all at once.

I’ve spent a few hours matting prints. And I should have time to paint tonight. ☺️

I had to prepare the inside before I attach the roof. But it looks good and sounds good so far I hope I can sculpt an adorable dancing pig for the spinning magnet. 🥰
A work in progress music box. The inside is complete with the music movement installed. It’s covered by an acrylic box covered with green velvet. A magnet lays on top of the velvet. Not pictured: the magnet moves and spins when the music plays.

We spent a few hours walking a local trail. And I tried out my dedicated camera with the polarizing filter. Super happy with a lot of the photos.

Pretty leaves in fall changing colors from green to yellow, brown and orange Lots and lots of yellowish and orange leaves. Soft looking foliage with oranges and greens. Several branches stretch across from bottom left to upper right

These 5” x 7” paintings normally take me 30 hours to complete.
I’m trying to speed up but I love taking my timeeee.

I kinda wish I could work like 10x faster. But they wouldn’t look like this. (A work in progress)

Chickens 🧡

I love this little painting. It makes me want to paint more birds. But I don’t have very good references… besides flamingos… I happen to have a ton of those. Maybe those will be next.

I finally finished this today! 🥳
Once it’s totally dry I’ll be able to photograph it better. But I’m so happy with it! Yay!

Size comparison of the two paintings I’m currently working on. Going slow since I keep getting hurt and sick.
I can’t wait to finish this large one. I really missed the smaller size, so I’m back to that. So much more fitting for me.

This one finally got some varnish today. 🥳

Tagging all my work for the show in Jan. Everything is everywhere and half of the works aren’t framed yet. But the other half is show ready. So, I’m packing those up this week. 33 pieces doesn’t feel like a lot until you have to frame, wire, pack them. 😵‍💫

Hurt my wrist and have not been able to paint much. But I did manage to finish editing this photo. The painting photographs weird since the canvas has rounded edges. I edited out some of the annoying glare spots and made a version of this with a border for prints. Hoping those mat better now.

I’ve been tinkering today. I made an acrylic panel box to cover the music movement. Then covered that with a velvet that I decided to embroider (which I think looks cute despite the lumpiness).

Waiting on the 1/8” wood for the roof and an LED kit to hide in the top…(may or may not work out)
Pieces of cut plywood propped up by hand to make a rough barn-like structure. Inside the structure is a green velvet covered rectangular prism. The green velvet is embroidered with a floral design on the front face.
