I'm a 3D generalist with a faible for PBR materials and technical stuff like shaders. I use either UE or Godot, depending on the project.
My Substance Designer Plugin has reached its final functional scope. Now, before the release, it's “just” a matter of catching usage errors.
Oh, and I just created the image sequence (360 images) for the video with the push of just one button.

The free release of my “Uber Blend” node for #Substance3DDesigner is not long in coming. It offers almost 50 blend modes for grayscale and RGB(A). I am currently writing a suitable article and have created another node that illustrates the changes in brightness. #MadeWithSubstance

I have now also made progress with my last modular rooms. These two rooms have different intentions, hence the different lighting. In the second screenshot you can still see a few placeholders, which I will probably replace in the next few days.

Reworked some textures. The passageway ceiling now has a slight vault (Screenshot 1) and I have also revised the texture for the other vault.

I'm currently working on a wooden training dummy so that I can put more pressure on myself to finally integrate the basic combat system. My project also needs to include at least one sculpting asset. Rig and animations will hopefully follow soon.

I have now switched to UE 5.5 to be able to use Megalights. The difference is really impressive. 1. without Megalights (attenuation radius: 250) 2. with Megalights (attenuation radius: 250) 3. without Megalights (attenuation radius: 500) 4. with Megalights (attenuation radius: 250)

Now that I've learned how essential the brightness of the BaseColor is for indirect light with lumens, I've also managed to create a lighting mood that I find pleasant. 1. original scene 2. original floor material 3. new scene (only floor and pillar material was changed) 4. new floor material #ue5
