We all need hope, and to believe the future can be better than the past, and we really believe that rewilding can play a role in that.

We can’t go back in time, but we can create a wilder, better, future for everyone

Message to say hello from our newest site where we will be doing a little memorial tree planting at the weekend. We don’t do tree planting as a rule - we tend to let nature do its thing - but in this case we are happy to! www.somersetwildlands.org

Just a deer, standing looking at a deer, that has leapt into a river and swum away to escape. #Rewilding life. www.somersetwildlands.org

Hello from a hot and steaming Athelney - birds are quiet today but the grasshoppers are loud. Loads of vetch, meadowsweet, woundwort, loosestrife, marsh ragwort, watermint etc willow, hawthorn and blackthorn all coming through strongly in places. www.somersetwildlands.org

Foxes, otters, badgers, deer. A few clips from one of our camera traps at Athelney, taken over a couple of weeks. Nothing earth-shattering, but lovely to see. To find out more about our work making space for nature or to join as a member, go to www.somersetwildlands.org

Hello from a beautiful sunny rewilding day in Somerset - every £1.50 donated to us helps secure one square metre of land for nature. If you like what we do become a member, share, like etc. www.somersetwildlands.org

Stunning morning down on the Levels. After a long hot spring the site at Athelney is still reasonably lush and full of life, including thousands of these white and brown speckled moths, which hover in little clouds above the vegetation. somersetwildlands.org
