I guess I’m just a person who likes to see how the rest of the people think. Nonprofit ED. Art is not a four letter word. I like cat memes, books, movies and things that make us feel and stuff.
If you live within driving distance, our kite festival goes into day two tomorrow. I highly recommend flying a kite with 100s of kids to remind you why we’re fighting

Another book rec as we wind down this year. Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay was one of those books I snagged cuz I love the author but didn’t know much about the book so I went in cold. So glad I did. What a ride. Chilling and sometimes darkly humorous and a testament to modern horror film and angst.

Read it In a single sitting. It’s the kinda book that you wish you’d made popcorn for. It’s witty and scary and fun and relevant and bloody and good. Closed it with a satisfied “hell yea” and recommend it to anyone who wants a bloody romp with “eat the rich” vibes.

I really enjoyed this when I was feeling kind of low on reading during the worst of the eyeball drama. I read some in my physical copy and listened to the audio book when the eye wouldn’t cooperate. It’s sweet and sad and hopeful and well-written and the characters feel real. Also time travel.

Reminder that this day is whatever you want it to be. Maybe it’s food with friends or family. Maybe it’s eating pizza alone with a book. Maybe it’s just doing what you’d normally do.
The “holiday” is made up and traditions are whatever each of us decides.
