it's wild to me to think back on my own childhood, to trick or treating my way through high school, to remembering how many adults in my life were like "you're too old! imagine what those people are thinking when they open the door up to see you and not a little kid!"

if i ran a bookstore i would organise it like a library, complete with public terminals where people could look up their niche interests in peace. it would be easy to find all the books on your topic in one place without wondering if this particular store thinks it's world history or social science

i truly think there is no bigger red flag about a company than knowing they ghost people during the interview process.
bad enough that most companies won't bother even sending a "thanks but no thanks" letter to most applicants.
