Absolutely, but I think there's a small but notable difference between Chinese firms conducting security-related trade (see: drone sales to Ukraine) and big ticket state-to-state purchases like aircraft, tanks, etc.

100%. I totally believe that if the US ditched Israel, China would be happy to export weapons to Israel. But in the same way they're happy to export weapons to UAE, Indonesia, Thailand, Argentina, etc. And Israel would be offered the same catalogue as them and paying hard cash.

People should, however, be giving a side eye to the PRC selling weapons to the UAE or UAE-affiliated firms and then how many of those end up in RSF hands in Sudan.

I want to note that China has not exported weapons to Israel in recent years, and the ISR-PRC partnership was primarily in the 80s and 90s and was mostly Israel transferring tech to PRC, and ISR-PRC military relations in the last 10 years have deteriorated. But yeah PRC aint doin shit

Also having spent a decent amount of time on an actual Chinese controlled app (Xiaohongshu) the feed is extremely different and Gaza barely appears.
