Last few games have been nervy. Teams have learned that if they throw it into the mixer, something will go their way. Happened against Villa, Wolves, and almost happened against Everton. Thankfully still came away with two wins and a draw.

That second half was hard work and Rice looked tired all game, no surprise he went off with an injury. We’re getting into some really dangerous territory with our injury pile now, this festive period might get ugly.

That was probably one of the worst games we’ve played this season. We lost a lot of duels, the middle of the park was completely vacated, and the physicality was like Newcastle away. Thankful for the point after a tough week, and even though we drew to ten men, it felt like a point earned.

I’m absolutely buzzing off the pure storyline of this game. I did not have an Eze hattrick on my bingo card, and I did expect bad things to happen with Merino up front and a first start for Hincapie, but they were both great today.

This optimism we’re feeling as fans

This is my feeling as well, today’s result makes me feel like we can just go out there and play our game without looking over our shoulder (this week at least)

I still did an update this week because I also had to remind myself that it’s not normal that we’re this good. We haven’t conceded a goal in over a month and it’s starting to feel like that’s normal, but I have to remember that what we’re seeing is incredible.
