This one hurts, Villa are incredibly annoying.
I don’t think I’ve ever had this much fun watching Arsenal. Even when we lose or draw, they’ve been fair results and the overall quality has always been high.

I know it’s only been 8 PL games and 3 UCL games (total about 20% of the season done) but…there’s a different air around Arsenal this season and I can’t help but feel that something amazing is coming at the end of it.

Been thinking about what metric I want to view Arsenal’s improvement, and I settled on point accumulation difference vs last year (accounting for promoted sides with their counterparts from last season). This is where I’m at after Matchweek 6🧵

I suppose the upside to this game was that Gyokeres got his minutes in and started to recognize the team’s movement. Would’ve loved to see a few more powerful runs though.

I don’t want to be dramatic about the Arsenal preseason but here it is; it looks like we’ve tactically regressed.
