The only good thing about 47’s social media rants is that they are recorded for the historical record. They will remain for future generations to learn from &, hopefully, to prevent history from repeating itself, unless history isn’t taught in schools, which I think is how we got here again. #FAFO

No society has existed without a slave class. MAGA should ask: when the undocumented and people of color are rounded up, who becomes that class? History warns us that without accountability, oppression always finds new victims. The next most likely victims will be the poor, and they’ll be White.

Fair point, she wasn’t expected to be a CPA. But accountability matters when you’re stewarding a $50M brand. Passion and focus on the work don’t excuse neglect of oversight. The lesson isn’t blame, it’s that discipline and structure are essential to sustain success beyond fame. IMHO.

The White House used Sabrina Carpenter’s song “Juno” in a video showing ICE arrests. Carpenter condemned it as “evil and disgusting” and demanded her music not be tied to what she called an “inhumane agenda.” The White House fired back

Is it silly? Not really. The problem is that average people defend billionaires while being more than willing to demonize anyone who has less than they do as parasites or worse. Extolling the non-existent virtues of billionaires while taking food and medicine from children is problematic.

Bottomline:

Her fortune was the result of a divorce settlement tied to Amazon’s market power, not because she practiced generosity to get rich.

Her philanthropy stands out, but it doesn’t erase the fact that her wealth was created by the same extractive system that produces all billionaires.

If only you had done something while you held political power. Did you ever try to organize anyone in your party to stand against 45 when he withheld approved military aid and tried to extort Ukraine during the ‘beautiful phone call’? Or is profiting from dissent the full extent of your disdain?

“Pick-me-ass bitch” Sidney Sweeney is the takedown of the month, and it doesn’t matter that there are 29 more days before the month’s end, no one will top this. Thank you, Krystal Ball.

This data seems like a pretty ominous warning sign. Hiring trends can foreshadow broader economic shifts, from migration patterns to wage pressures. I wonder what we’ll see and when.

If memory serves me: Susan Powter’s downfall wasn’t just bad luck, it was neglect. She built a $50M empire, then let mismanagement, lawsuits, and poor oversight drain it. Fame without financial discipline collapsed her brand, leaving her penniless. A cautionary tale of accountability lost.

A generous and charitable person, and I’m still not clear what her role was in building Amazon. But she hasn’t given more than she can afford and she still has billions.

I laugh whenever I see a billionaire described as “selfless,” because nobody becomes a billionaire by being “selfless.” To reach billionaire status, “selfish” and “greedy” are the two most appropriate adjectives.

If only there were left‑leaning media outlets willing to play the role of propagandists, as Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, and Sinclair do for the fascists. Unfortunately, like corporate Democrats, most media outlets, pundits, and commentators choose to narrate dissent and profit from it.

In their request, Costco acknowledges that tariffs have ‘raised prices nationwide,’ and they want a refund. Has Costco published its plan to return those refunded tariffs to their customers or is this ‘refund’ going to be passed along to their shareholders in the form of bottomline profit? Anyone?

Converting green spaces is one option, but so is converting long‑vacant commercial spaces. There are several options, and I’m sure the debate will be vigorous.

Is it the media’s role to stir controversy?

After the complete capitulation of the media (ABC, CBS, Disney, Paramount, the Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post) and the media’s complete failure to hold power accountable for fear of ‘losing access,’ let the media eat ‘cake.’
