I want to see where Adhoc goes from here as a studio, because its clear they have a lot of passion and heart put into this thing, and they have a lot of potential to even surpass telltale (which i have been a fan of since the first walking dead game) cuz god knows telltale isnt doing shit to compete

I will ALSO say, Shroud is a disappointing villain. He isn't very much of a consistent threat, just being referenced a few times, then showing up in the last 2 like he's been around the whole time. But his last appearances at the end are good.

I do want to praise the art direction for a minute also, the game is beautiful, and animated very well, each character design has it's own flair while also paying tribute to classic comic book hero design tropes. Not much to say other than just look at some of the cutscenes.

I feel like my main issue is the romance, it does not fit the game at all, and feels rushed and unnecessary, especially when the writers have a choice they want you to pick over the other. It feels like they had the idea to make the romance, then decided to add a decision around it after the fact.

Review thread for Dispatch (2025), I finished the game when it came out but I needed a little bit of time to ruminate on my thoughts, because I was very conflicted. I'll also preface saying I got the "Best Ending," and I will likely touch on spoilers. Definitely play the game yourself first.
