I think it's more of a lie than a misunderstanding.

This is beautiful. I did not know what I was looking at at first and mistook this for a piece of dynamic art, sort Edvard Munch style portrait of a woman.
Then I read all the text and learned something about meanders. Double fun.

One time I got into an edit spat. I said it wasn't necessary to say that star fish were not fish. I was over ruled. So I added that they were not stars and edited several other entries like sea horses to say that they were not horses and similar. I won!

Wikipedia is the shit!
I sent Wikipedia $100 last week. I adore Wikipedia.
Unfortunately, I lost my 2005 account somehow and have to start over.

Years ago, doctors tried to treat my severe back pain with anti depressants. It's a thing that doctors think.
They didn't work at all. But it turned out I had a broken back and a spinal fusion helped a lot. Only took 30 years to get treated. Haha.

Since your house is paid for you could borrow the money to install solar and then without those sky high summer utility bills you could pay off the loan.

I installed solar in 2019 and I calculate they've paid for themselves thanks to my EV.

Texas has four times as many wind turbines as California and more migrating birds.
(Apart from gas), we are mostly running on solar, batteries, geothermal, large and small hydro, & nuclear.
At the moment, 16.8% of the state's energy is coming from batteries, charged w/ solar this morning.

Yes. It has a slightly different meaning, for which it is rarely used. I never use "utilize."

I roomed with a woman and two children on welfare in the 1970s. A person would come and inspect the entire house for any sign of malfeasance, including the room rented out to me and the inside of the refrigerator.
NO SUCH inspections were required for men getting unemployment benefits.

I've been seeing pictures of little free libraries packed with things that need to be cooked.

Safeway tried to impose that on its cashiers a while back.
Fortunately, they belonged to a union and the union said no. That's inhumane.
