Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is an interesting, yet fun game. XIII-2 is still my favorite of the Trilogy, but this was a fun experience! Some thoughts:

The timer is hardly an issue. I finished the main quests on day 5 of the 13 days they give you. I would argue you get too much time lol

So uh, in a real twist, it turns out Gilgamesh uses guns and rocket launchers in FF 13-2. Which is really awesome! I don't he's ever tried any thing other than melee weapons, right?

In fact, I think the Colliseum is really really good. Lots of really cool fights in there from past Final Fantasies

I just finished Final Fantasy XIII-2 and absolutely loved the experience. If this game was released first, I'm sure that it would've been more positively received.

I highly recommend listening to the soundtrack, because they are absolute bangers.

I've started playing Final Fantasy XIII for the first time a day ago. I'm currently on Chapter 5, and I kinda like it so far

It is as linear as they say online, but I love the characters, combat, and absolutely adore the music

My feelings may change as I progress, but I'm glad I've given it a shot
