Equal parts "I can solve anything given enough time and data" and "existence is inherently absurd".

Engineer who doesn't create enough.

Martial Artist because if I have to be locked in a meat suit it might as well be a fighting mech.

Newest panic about the Epstein Files getting out is so bad "the spin" is just trying to normalize pedophilia now.

"He wasn't a pedo he just liked 15yo's"

"Bro, like, explain to me why r@ping children is bad"

Fully abandoning denial but the bamboozle still so strong we're apologists now huh?

Two landscaping gentlemen racing each other down the sidewalk, laughing, fully equipped with back pack blowers, possibly seeing who could run faster against the full blast of the machines. My morning is vastly improved.

Anyone want to share some examples of tech, advancements, or breakthroughs in the last 10 or so years that don't follow the modern pattern of enshitification or come with the strings attached that also makes you a product? Stuff that genuinely feels designed to be "good".

@anyaustin.bsky.social "Holy cow. Earth man." has to be the sentiment that perfectly summarizes why I love your videos so much. Thanks for the new Wind Waker vid!

Does anyone listen to music where that's, like, the whole activity? Not where you listen to something while driving/studying/cleaning/etc. but if someone asked what you're doing the best answer would be "listening to [artist/album]".

Having unintentionally taken in a lot of medieval themed fantasy media lately, I feel like one of the unintended consequences of science denialism will be an increase in wizards

You would think if these folks didn't want to be associated with Nazis they would take a little more care not to make the one gesture most associated with Nazis. But their excuses for how it's not a Nazi salute don't seem to actually condemn or distance themselves from Nazis

I can't think of a better time to recommend that literally everyone pick up some kind of martial art. Self defense can help you learn how to avoid danger and enforce your own bodily autonomy. A community that knows how to fight is more resilient to the threat and abuse of power. Plus it's just cool

I think I need to make more explicit what a "pro-democracy" coalition looks like.

Here's a fairly simple plan to bottle up Trump & limit the damage to democracy:

Cynical has been a near default setting for me lately, but the US having its first female president thanks to a badly worded executive order is pretty hilarious.

“Helluva Boss” is a show about rising above what a powerful world tries to tell you you are and finding love n’ family despite everything you have been through. I’m saying that today because I feel it strongly today. That’s what it is, that’s what we want it to be. A story we care about telling. ❤️
