Also out of the kiln is a new glaze experiment with a Yun moon jar. I used a less white glaze this time because Yuns paintings are also a bit more yellow. I love the pink undertones of this glaze. The brown is pretty but could be a bit more dark, need to experiment some more.

Short clip of the opening of the first fire in my new studio. I did a bisque fire that goes to 900°C. This is the fire before the 2nd fire, the glaze fire. Below my kiln are unfired moon jars soaking in the heat to dry.

So on NJ birthday I said yes to a 20m2 studio, in an old factory. It is bare bones but it has water, light and electricity . And I can make it all my own. I’m thinking soft pink walls and colourful element.
