This continues to only happen to the most vulnerable groups of people, atp it's just reproducing racism + transphobia in these fandom pockets that will always make black trans ppl feel unwelcome. it's unsurprising yet devastating. Glad I'm gone from there.

Someone tried in a biggish server I'm in and got blasted for it. Didn't have the guts to take accountability for how much this puts people's lives in danger, just a lot of "a friend of mine said blah blah blah"... So disgusting, this person said they used to be a fan of yours Lol. I'm so mad

almost like it's all a performative slogan for people to hide their own bias towards genuinely weird and queer art made by vulnerable members of society dumping their emotions into an art form.

and no, I don't mean weird art that's surface level made out of performativity like the slogan but rather support that fat furry or weird tgirl artist drawing her trauma out in mixed media or sex workers trying to get by and be their peers instead of having a bias for what makes YOU comfortable
