Heads up, if you’re in the Cincinnati area “chili” actually means spaghetti with chili as the meat sauce. I hear it’s decent

It’s funny to see the male and female equivalents of this too. I remember when Coke Zero came out, the idea was that men wouldn’t buy something with the word “diet” in the name

Not that he’s “right,” just that the thing he’s saying about mercenaries isn’t nonsense from nowhere.

I have heard at least one actual historian say the thing Roman Helmet Guy is saying. It’s more complicated but some experts do correlate over-reliance on mercenaries with imperial collapse. Same thing happened when the original Muslim caliphate was taken over by the Seljuk Turks

“Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I did shoot that guy, but only because I was having sex with my stepdaughter. Now here is a reconstruction from memory of a diary I had, where I wished death on my wife days before she was hit by a car.”

Lolita is hilarious when you remember that Humbert is in jail for murder and, in order to appear sympathetic, he writes a biography where he confesses to a litany of sex-crimes that he hasn’t been charged with and makes it sound like he probably killed his second wife.

I don’t think it’s that low in any state, even the ones with the creepily low age of consent laws

You’re saying this man has never read a book but what about that time he hopped on a quarterly earnings call and said he wanted to make cars “that fly like in Blade Runner.”

It’s not, like, equidistant from every other place on the map. That doesn’t make any sense. He really thinks his fans are stupid

At this point, I think rage baiting the libs is a big part of their business model

Really don’t like the way this guy opens with “the young Jewwwwws of New York.”

It’s part of a comedian’s job to act casual while giving a performance and Fallon always looks like he’s forcing himself to laugh. It’s always been uncomfortable to watch!

Another thing is that many student protesters were working with activists of Arab or Palestinian descent. How can we say it’s TikTok when even the young people being radicalized are learning about this conflict from their immigrant classmates!

A lot of American liberals think that “working class” refers to a loose association of manufacturing, construction, agriculture, and certain service jobs like taxi drivers. They just don’t picture waiters and retail workers when they hear the phrase “working class,” and assume this to be reality

Is there actually some kind of hard science I’m not getting or are you just rude

What don’t I know?

It’s partly just that Cuomo’s behavior is so bad that it never seems like a low blow to bring it up. It’s impossible to frame his problems as some kind of momentary lapse in judgment. He’s just spent years of his life being an asshole without any sign of remorse

I understand that your defensive of your profession, but I have spent most of my life up till now in educational institutions and be told that I don’t know how they work because I made a mild criticism of one of the things they do

I remember taking a personality test that gave me a bunch of suggested career paths. In hindsight, that was a waste of my time and the school’s. Other career prep aspects of school were more valuable but my position is that we could actually do with less of it.

I’m sorry, but I have been to school and I remember thinking these exercises were stupid. It’s ok if you think they have a positive impact on students but I am doubtful of their value
