apparently compositor assets are going to be added in blender 5.0 so once that's out i think it'd be a good excuse to release my grease pencil brush along with some compositor stuff : ) heehoo

I think the texture is impressive up close... I've found it's very hard to get a brush to have a natural-looking texture to it. A lot of attempts ended up just looking like an old Flash animation, and it's very charming in its own right but it's not what I'm going for

Another test of my Grease Pencil brush. I'm VERY happy with how it's turning out, I think I've gotten it to both look nice and feel good to draw with

In case anyone doesn't know, Grease Pencil is basically a way to make hand-drawn animation in Blender. For most artists, I wouldn't recommend it as an alternative to any 2D artwork software like Krita. But if you're already familiar with Blender, and OK with using that knowledge for illustrations...

thank u!!! it's a grease pencil object, which behaves a little differently from most 3d objects (it basically works like flash) but it does happen to exist in 3d space so you can look at it like this if you want and it's funny

For the flat, cel-shaded stuff I usually do, I think it's pretty good! Looking at your stuff I think it'd go well but I do wanna warn that, from what I've tried, getting softer shading like this to look good is kind of annoying... that might just be me tho

Drew this entirely in Blender. I think I've mentioned this before, but I think it would be really nice to eventually switch to Blender as the main program I use for my art, since CSP isn't officially on Linux. Grease Pencil seems to keep getting better over time so hopefully that'll happen soon!
