I just don't know.
The one element that is missing from this conversation is boots on the ground. Who is going to go int here and do the actual toppling of the regime? Sounds more like Trump has a limited strike in mind.

If war with Iran does materialize, I think folks need to understand that this will look vastly different than the 12 day war.
Iran understands this will be a fight for survival. I would expect them to activate all of their proxies and launch everything they’ve got - if they can.

Speaking of Israel, If Trump has some kind of "limited strike" planned in his head, Israel is going to escalate. I think Trump loses control of the situation rather rapidly.
Obviously, the US and Israel will be looking for “left of launch” targets and doing everything they can to prevent missiles from flying.

I think Iran almost certainly planned for that situation for decades.
One thing that could be different this time:
Iran won’t be the only one with drone swarm capability.
This could be the first major combat test of the US-made LUCAS drone.
With as quickly as Israel established air dominance last time, that’s a major problem for Iran.
