Did I just get distracted from my C++ homework because I was curious why my de-linter hated the pseudo-RNG method my professor insisted we use for this assignment? Yes.

Does it improve readability and reduce maintenance headaches? Yes
Does the language itself give a fuck? ... nope.
So it's not *required*, but really, we should all be doing it for our sanity.
