it's been a while since I last played and I didn't finish the game, think I was stuck in deepnest iirc, so it might be people who didn't go far enough to see all his interactions, or I'm misremembering things

to me he felt more like a hiking buddy, who you only meet randomly on the trails as he's taking a rest, someone who you can relate with as you explore wondrous lands.
and I can see how that could be interpreted as a "are you winning son" dad or a cool uncle for some people

if we can show opposition to the new guidelines it may give them pause before applying them, if we just wait for the bans to start, it's a sign we're okay with the rules as written

doing art of other people's character for the purpose of harassment shouldn't be put in the same basket as depicting your own character (or characters you have been given the right to portray for that purpose) in situations pertaining to your own fantasies
