The Primordial Kusoge...

Okay it's not that bad, actually really fun throwing sickles at everyone. The famicom port skips out on all the story and is only 4 levels long, so I can see why it was disliked. Will have to try the full game later!

Jinrui no Minna-san he (PS5)

An adorable story of 5 extremely unobservant girls waking up in a ruined Akihabara who then must scavenge food to survive. They have 0 chill and eat baby elephants, it's wild

Would have been better as a VN, but I appreciate what they tried to go for!

Binary Domain (Steam)

Play with the voice recognition, bonus points with a leaky microphone, it's so good listening to characters badly talking to each other and causing a communication cacophony.

Oh, gameplay, a great time, solidly-put together shooting game. Really cool bosses for the genre!

Outer Wilds (PS5)

Obscure (Steam)

B-movie-tier horror game with sassy highschool teen problem children co-op, had to play it with a friend since we played the sequel many years back! Not super memorable, but a great way to kill an evening (and some monsters) with a friend.

Petz Catz 2 (Wii)

Relax from the troubles in the world by motion controlling into a new life as an adorable cat on a quest to fish, catch bugs, and destroy an evil wizard dog, bork

Another entry in the "JP indie games with a single drawing of a girl" category!

Short free game, where the goal is to exorcise a demon inside a priestess by guessing which is active, then either torturing or feeding her. Each night has a different failure ending too! Simple but fun~

Varlet (PS5)

Some of the char stories about modern society were really moving like the graffiti artist losing his drive after someone he inspired took the spotlight, others less so. I feel this one is weaker for taking the easy route on certain story beats tho

God, that one's so hard for that reason and with how dark it is. Had to turn up the gain on the retrotink to see anything. And yeah, that boss just *refuses* to die and threatens a medal loss by timer

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (N64)

Lair started an itch that only Rogue Squadron could satisfy, so we stepped into the shoes of Ass General, along with our wingmates DUI and !?! and gold-medaled the shit out of everything~ Solid game, challenging but reasonable to gold the first half. 2nd, less so

Elden Ring: Nightreign

I didn't realize at the time that this would be my most played Steam game, but it was such a good time dying and running back with friends over and over~

Also, I realized randoms with horny names were top tier for some reason, hence why I'm Lord of Faps below

Lair (PS3)

You owe it to yourself to play this, motion controls and all. Everything is pure washing machine chaos, and I'd have it no other way. It's such a blast of everything the PS3 can handle, and then some. ASYLIAN!!!

Came for the chins, stayed for the well-executed character writing, massive song soundtrack, and emotional twists and turns. Still the only reader on VNDB~

Not many VNs are bold enough to have an obtuse claw machine minigame where losing means missing the true ending!
