Tonight, the #balletclipoftheday is the king of ballet, Mikhail Baryshnikov, from the 1977 film The Turning Point. My fav bit is when we see the pov of the corps dancers, seeing so up close the intimacy of his dancing, framed by the stage lights. Happy birthday Misha, I love you so much

The Royal Ballet has promoted Melissa Hamilton to principal dancer!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! Melissa has been such a hard worker, her ballet story is so inspiring and she’s such a stunning dancer. This has been a long time coming, what a joy!
