I checked out Alyx earlier to see how it works with the mod, it's a perfectly viable way to experience it.
I might be able to take in the story better since I won't be hyperfocusing on the interactivity.
Obviously the gameplay suffers, but it's fine. Visuals pop more than in VR, though.

Well, the Half-Life replays are underway. I finished Half-Life 1 in under 2 hours yesterday (I used to speedrun it back in the day).
So now it's onto Half-Life 2. I'll also be replaying Alyx - this time with the NoVR mod since I no longer have a VR headset. 🙏

I do wish there was more gameplay, BUT them cutting away the "exploration" made the pacing superb.

I think this might be the best I've felt in a multiplayer game after Counter-Strike and Destiny 2.
