Don’t worry, though—it doesn’t actually STAY black! Although they kindly offer to keep painting it black again for you, for free, every time the rhodium plating wears off…which will be more or less immediately, and always, apparently?? 😂

I googled “weaving class near me” and found an amazing adult education program with a fiber studio full of looms! I highly recommend taking a weaving class and connecting with your local community that way. Among other things: orphan looms to be had for free or cheap!! Here’s my sampler:
