I miss having someone to cook for, so it was nice to make even this simple, casual meal for a visiting friend. Roast beef, potatos and gravy with what’s-in-the-crisper salad (asparagus, capsicum, cherry tomatoes, capers & feta).

I miss having someone to cook for, so it was nice to make even this simple, casual meal for a visiting friend. Roast beef, potatos and gravy with what’s-in-the-crisper salad (asparagus, capsicum, cherry tomatoes, capers & feta).

Made this Brazilian Coconut Chickpea Curry because I had an excess of canned chickpeas. Not a pretty dish but very tasty. Also vegan if you don’t add yoghurt like I did.

Life’s been a bit much lately, with multiple forms of grief and an injury. But I made some good bread and learned how to make tempeh taste great - steam, marinate, fry. I’d not had success cooking it before but I really like it this way. #whatscooking 🍽️🥣

Poor baby flouff was shivering this morning. Usually she meeps at me if she’s cold in the night & I snuggle her up.
We both need ☀️ Apparently I have a ‘severe’ vitamin D deficiency, which I didn’t think was even possible in Australia. Not only am I fair-skinned AF but I may not absorb it properly 🧛♀️

So miserably cold and wet today the dogs took one look & took themselves back to bed. I decided to join them, but first I put some chilli con carne in the slow cooker, which ought to be ready just as I get home from yoga. That’s enough productivity for a wet Saturday yeah? #whatscooking 🍽️🍝
