I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

I finished Stonefish today! Overall, I really enjoyed it. It does delve a lot further into the grotesque than I expected, but I've got a pretty good tolerance for that. If you're looking for some cosmic horror mixed with sprinklings of cryptids, take a looksie!

Having a stealth system means you now can tell character stories around the fact they’re very sneaky, you can tell stories about how people aren’t sneaky or are very clumsy, you have scenes of narrow escapes and shocking reversal, it OPENS the narrative space
