Imagine unfollowing a page that saves dogs bc you got upset seeing a dog having an episode. You care more about how comfortably you can mindlessly scroll than about the good work this page is doing. You can rationalize all you want, but people will still see where your priorities lie.

Yep - plenty of people have been brainwashed to not even see the terrible nature behind their political party’s moves. Everything we’ve been told about how horrible the Republican Party is, they receive the equal and opposite messaging about Dems. Burning bridges leaves everyone stranded.

If you’re not working to provide a solution, you’re not helping at all by just blankly stating you “don’t condone”. That won’t change reality, just make you feel better about yourself w/o impacting a single animal’s life. If you want to back your morals - research and get involved.

That’s simply untrue. No-kill shelters do pass off animals to be put down. This was also a hard pill for me to swallow, but because I actually care about getting adoptable animals good homes, I had to accept the reality we actually live in.

Unadoptable dogs ARE suffering. Being unadoptable means they are so ill-adjusted, that they are in constant pain and taking it out wherever they can. Giving them a peaceful end to their suffering is a mercy.

No kill shelters are the reason adoptable dogs have to be put down - because they hold on to unadoptable dogs and don’t make room for good ones. They also eventually hand off unadoptable dogs to kill shelters anyway - just letting someone else do the hard part.
