Update, I googled it and I still don't understand the *point* of the rule beyond claiming to make the game more interesting, but I do understand that the reason the rule exists in the first place is England's fault!

I discovered early on during my years in America that if I got a robot spam call, telling it to fuck off before I hung up made it less likely to call me in the future.
