I think you are right, and it scares me. I've worked in live performance for a large part of my career, and I'm currently working admin at an orchestra. How will AI impact us? I want to believe people will continue to want to see humans perform live, but will those humans perform AI-generated music?

To cast aspersions on someone as principled as Dr. Daskalakis is just disgusting. To think that someone like him would deny any state funding in a crisis is laughable.

I had a nearly identical experience with a pharmacist in LA County. She refused to give me the shot because "everyone would be able to get the new one." Completely unaware of what was happening at the CDC. And luckily my experience this past week was seamless, but this is enraging.

I've been on Wegovy for 13 weeks now and not only is my relationship to food completely different, but I've also noticed a lot of my compulsive urges to shop have gone way way down. I'm actually saving money again and it's such a relief.

I work in downtown LA, and it felt the same as you're describing here. People who were protesting at night definitely had more contact with National Guard and the Marines here, but I never saw any of them. My friend works in a federal building and said National Guard were sleeping and on phones.

Sorry if you've already given your thoughts on this, but what do you think of Susan Monarez? Obviously better than Weldon. However, RFK is ok with her. And she is seemingly ok with him. So I don't know.
