with mipmapping (right) looks better but sacrifices a bit of readability imo. This is at an absurdly small Ui scale though, so I might be overthinking it.

It's one of my least favorite things to work on. I really need to work on it more too, the character heights for qp'"`^* are all hard coded, and text gets hard to read at smaller sizes unless I disable mipmapping which makes it look crusty. prerendered character atlas has its downsides.
