Bei Fluglinien dauert eine Entschädigung selbst bei Stornierungen des Fluges Monate und man braucht einen Anwalt, damit überhaupt etwas passiert.

My current research, which I will present at the BEHnet workshop will show (among other things) that the reference points people take differ by country e.g. respondents in Germany took the health of others around them as a reference point, whereas people in Italy use their health in the past.

We found that out of seven potential reference points, subjective well-being was also associated with how current income compared to respondents' needs and progression over time, and for health, especially with how current health compared to what respondents felt they deserved.

Reference points are important for evaluating outcomes such as our health after surgery or the salary offered by a new job. If the reference point (e.g. what we had before) is not met, life satisfaction is affected negatively.
