Someone in your life should have told you by now that you’re off-putting. Maybe nobody cares enough to do so, and it unfortunately fell to me to fill that role. So be it.

But you are, quite unwittingly, a perfect exemplar of the sort of person who would support generative slop.

So…thanks for that.

Yeah, “lack of ability” referred to critical thinking and basic logic skills, not to art skills. And your inability to discern that sort of answers the question.

You are raising stupid arguments because you genuinely can’t do better. For the record, that is the better of the two.

Weird nerds whose inadequacies lead them to use the plagiarism engine instead of thinking are made to feel ashamed for using something harmful. To the point that they will react, petulantly, when called out. That’s a very successful “crusade”. One that you are, just by being yourself, assisting with

I could have typed “semi-comatose crab being force-fed reality by a refined robot” into the idiot box and have it pop out a picture, but pointing out the degree of moral and intellectual failure required to liken using existing man-made pictures to using generative slop is much more fun.

Other than actually using human art, not wasting energy, not supporting plagiarism, not enriching billionaires, not supporting the weakening of thought or human creativity, using a gif that someone created is exactly the same as using generative slop.
November 12, 2025 at 4:04 PM
The next time I see someone defending a generative slop art and the art is actually funny and isn’t an idea that a creative and intelligent person would struggle to convey in words…will be the first time I’ve seen it.

It is a mediocrity engine.
November 12, 2025 at 4:01 PM
So, are you making the stupid argument because of a general lack of ability, or is it more of a bad-faith thing?
November 12, 2025 at 3:55 PM
NFTs are the future, broh.
November 12, 2025 at 3:53 PM
The generative slop here, like in most places, adds nothing. It doesn’t make the joke funnier. It doesn’t make it smarter. Or more impactful. It just helps burn the planet so mediocre minds can see a picture rather than read words.
November 12, 2025 at 3:52 PM
“It’s only making the world worse a little bit” is a pretty weak argument in favor of the plagiarism machine that turns mediocre ideas into bad art.
November 12, 2025 at 3:49 PM
I’m glad one of us was easily amused.
November 12, 2025 at 12:28 AM
What the fuck are you on about now?
November 11, 2025 at 11:11 PM
It is really weird to be the sort of person who uses words to defend using generative slop by pretending that you can’t communicate a joke with words.
November 11, 2025 at 10:10 PM
Is burning coal good for the world or bad for the world?
November 11, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Or just, you know, use words.
November 11, 2025 at 10:07 PM
Not using generative slop is also what matters.

I just force-quit the app to see if that fixed and this was the first post I saw

So yes

Reality: the “jeans” thing was largely overblown and mostly a smokescreen designed to trick weak, overly-online minds with poor critical thinking skills into thinking progressives were angry

MattY the Wunderkind: lol those progressives are mad about jeans lol

“Polls show that people are mostly angry with Republicans. And the election on Tuesday is proof of that! They blame Republicans.”

“Yes but what if some day they might blame us, and we pissed off our rich donors for nothing?”
November 10, 2025 at 5:04 PM
I always thought healthcare by itself was not enough. But it has one benefit: simplicity. “You’re going to spend thousands of dollars you may not have or you’re going to lose coverage. Because of Republicans.”

Boom, easy. Now it’s “well they weren’t going to cave…and airports…and secret procedure…”

“Significant numbers of people cannot have the same quality of life, including the things that make life worth living, working the same amount of hours as older generations” is a perfectly understandable definition of “affordability crisis” and not grasping that is either intentional or embarrassing
