Mostly just posting the first thing that came to mind.
Say what you want about his age, but under Joe Biden, I could watch Monday Night Football on YouTube TV.

So the news cycle is just past the fact that Johnson won't swear in a duly elected representative?

Cool cool.

Not saying it's a dry run for the midterms... but it worked.

New plan:

1. A Dem mega donor promises $ for the ballroom to get an audience with Trump.

2. Pitch him: "You know what would really drive libs crazy? Replace 'Obamacare' with 'Trumpcare'."

(A single Trump eyebrow raises)

3. Slide him legislation for Medicare for All discreetly across his desk.

What could go wrong?
I hate everything right now.

@snarkypete.bsky.social

Technically, "Republicans want Democratic cover to keep breaking the law. Democrats won't play along *unless ACA subsidies are extended*."
No “clean CR” exists when Trump defies Congress and unilaterally guts programs—from law enforcement to pediatric cancer research to clean energy projects.

Republicans want Democratic cover to keep breaking the law. Democrats won’t play along.

Perhaps if we can have 8 pm ET start times for weekend playoff baseball games, we don't have to wait until 9 pm ET to start playoff baseball games during the week. Something to think about.

This seems... generous

@umpscorecard.bsky.social has their work cut out for them after this Brewers/Cubs game.

MLB may have no choice other than to implement robo umps before the end of this game.

Big idea did Dems to run on: a one time 4% tax on American billionaires to completely pay off U.S. debt.

Tony Romo is your friend that won't shut up during the football game trying to prove he knows some football things

LA should not get to have 2 NFL teams
October 3, 2025 at 1:09 AM
Any Dem considering being the next nominee should publicly challenge Speaker Johnson to a televised debate on the budget proposals. Make him go out of a safe space to try his "healthcare for illegals" bit so you can shoot that shit down. Live events draw network eyeballs. Breaks their echo chamber.

Doesn't seem fair that Kike Hernandez has played almost 90 postseason games, and Mike Trout has played in three.

Did Pete Hegseth say today that he was going to cut his hair?

I can't find it in me to hate the new NFL kickoff rules.
September 22, 2025 at 2:13 AM
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess there is not a Dem org out there adding a "shut down Sinclair-owned local news broadcasts using FCC" bullet point to the project 2029 to-do list.

The NFL seems better. Quarterbacks are better. Impossible sideline catches are the norm. The 60 yard field goal is the new 50 yard field goal. Lots of good running backs. Defenses are fast. It's a crazy league right now.

Mike Johnson's defense for Trump is that he's the Sammy the Bull Gravano or Whitey Bulger of the Epstein case?

Unless it's a holiday in which everybody knows there will be a ceremony, why does MLB have a game start time of 8:38 pm?

UPDATE: The Whitehouse's new Big Ballroom isn't what you think. It's a new DOGE office space (Big Balls' Room). Simple misunderstanding.
