Fascists are great at manipulation, they might've infiltrated the left to become the leaders and came up with this purity pageant bullshit in the first place. They've always been obsessed with certain kinds of purity after all. Although angry mob behavior isn't tied to any particular political side.

If I was doing something against people that own nearly all the resources in the world with mass surveillance on top, I'd be pretty damn secret about my activities. And if I needed to recruit more allies I wouldn't be shaming them for not knowing enough.

Why haven't I heard of any? Great secrecy, right? Cos I'm only ever seeing the advance of fascism and conservatism and not much counteracting.

I misread that a lizard does a dance on her head and remembered an advertising poster I saw the other day that depicted several people looking away from the viewer, and there was a small lizard walking across that poster, and at some point it sat on a photographed person's head like a pokemon.

I've seen videos of crows doing such things, animals get smarter the harder it is to procure food. Maybe food overabundance is how we as a species became stupid and obedient.

I've read that dogs could lie, pretending they've heard something at the door so that another dog would leave their toy and investigate, an then the "liar" would grab the toy. But I haven't observed dogs smart enough for that irl. Someone said their dog even stole their food this way.

I wonder if the thing about zoo ostriches flirting with humans is true or not. Maybe the recordings of them "dancing" for humans are misinterpreted and they just show friendliness. (This half-joke is referencing old-timey lesbians and historians clinging onto the theories they were best friends)
