As always, Jeremy Peters and the NYT think some random history professor who has assigned CLR James is "elite" and doctrinaire, but a man like Elon Musk is too complex too describe politically. (Note also which "critics" are allowed to "say" without getting contradicted by Peters.)

Saw the 4K remaster of "In the Mood for Love" tonight; since the moments I remember are so still—Leung smoking in room 2046, Cheung holding her glass as she looks out the window—I had forgotten how much lateral camera movement WKW/Doyle/Ping-Bin use. Immaculate film. Heartbreaking as always.
