I'm finding that this helps to "test out" new schedules before fully committing to them.

Bujo does not discriminate. I'm glad you're enjoying the notes app 😁🧋 I use Notion on the side of my bujo. It's so much fun!!

Updating | transferring 2 days in advance keeps knowledge & memory of events fresh in my mind so it's less likely I'll forget it. But also, it's not hanging over me too much like the Ghost of Procrastinator Future 👻.

I use bujo + digital calendar [I like Notion & Google]. I input my spouse's work schedule into a shared calendar & keep my own to-do lists in Notion. I have multiple notifications of events set in the digital format. 1st alert is 2 days - 2 weeks in advance of the event. That's when I update.

No to future logs because:
- they served no real purpose for me
- I hadn't enough events to fill them & prefer to keep it that way
- took space in my journal
- I'm an artist; I couldn't write "future log" at the top & then jot them down in a list... so they ate a lot of my time only to not be used.

Oh! If you or foster kids are into art, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend having a copy of "Draw Your Day" or "Draw Your World" by Samantha Dion Baker.

It really seems to help her out. I encourage you to look into this more. Ask yourself if it's something you'd like to do & if so, find a way to do it which feeds your personal soul. It doesn't have to look like anyone else's 🧋Best of luck whatever you decide.

I've a friend with auto-immune & she's a single mom. She wanted to bullet journal, but worried about doing it wrong or how to maintain a practice there between flares. Her practice became putting stickers in a journal and writing a few thoughts as she's up to it.

I hear you! This and the complaint of not enough time are the two I hear | read most often coming from those who wish to journal but feel they can't. I like to remind that journals are like the Reese's Cups commercials. "There's no wrong way" to journal.

To be honest, I don't know their motivation. But I do know the industry should never have been allowed to handle things as it has.

Yeah, it was like, we're having a conversation, I'd mention that I'm an adoptee & they'd go, "What's that?" I think my personal favorite was the time someone asked if I could get disability for that. If only.

If you've ever the chance; if you enjoy rom coms, I highly recommend it.

🫂I've been in the situation where I've been directly asked by a family member who was an adult who spoke English fluently asked me what an adoptee was...

...sometimes I feel like there was zero social education around it because they were too busy hiding it.

...and I can't help but wonder if my bio-mom honestly would've had the same problem where she felt she couldn't find things everyone at the table enjoyed... Is this the normal level of people not sharing the same tastes? Or am I overthinking it...

I have to ask -- have you ever seen the movie Man Up? Your list reminded me of "Black Pant Wash"...
