Agree! I ran out of Martha Wells’ sci-fi to read so I gave Witch King a try. Well written.
Okay so finished Witch King and it's good.
It took me a bit to get to it in part because it was described as "dark fantasy" and I have an extremely low tolerance for grim, but I didn't find it particularly grim? It's about recovering from an apocalypse.
