None of what you said is even close to being true. Last election for senate in my district the Libertarian candidate Jonathan Dine was the only one who supported gay and trans rights.

Interesting to see Justin Stapley calling them out. Not many genuine conservatives left. He’s an old school Liberty Hawk.

Isn’t 007 a designation? I mean we don’t blink an eye when some new actor plays him. Why would a new 007 be any different?

Yeah I can see why. I remember lending Tropic of Cancer to a girl I was friendly with and she was disgusted by it. I haven’t revisited him in a long time but I do remember how refreshing his books were compared to the stodgy reading material for my English Literature degree.

As a fellow Missourian this appalls me. Sarah is one of the best, completely approachable, willing to discuss where to find the best Whataburger as much as the state of the country.

There’s a scene either in Tropic of Cancer or Capricorn (been so long can’t remember which) where he describes a Parisian urinal in the way that someone else might a sunset etc.

I was a huge Miller fan as a teenager at university. His books can be almost pornographic, but the flawed characters, including himself more than make for it. His “purple patch” descriptive writing is superb.

More and more after Reno, I think we knew it was always the plan. They were never going to support Chase, tho I was surprised by some who did.

Hasn’t almost every left leaning revolution been essentially a bourgeois led revolution anyway? Why would this be any different?

Wasn’t it your LPI that I saw the motto that went something like…As much social justice as can be achieved without infringing upon the rights of others? To me that’s my starting point as a left libertarian.

In a heartbeat!

If a king is a ceo does that mean it’s not capitalism? How does Saudi Arabia function then? Is it not capitalist? And I’m not saying capitalism is worse than communism or fascism. I’m a libertarian. I was just making a point of fairness. Capitalism isn’t free of blame either. Let’s be honest here.

It was specifically a capitalist venture. The exploitation of a country and its people for rubber.
November 6, 2025 at 4:59 AM
Agreed but so does capitalism. Pepsi caused Pinochet and what transpired. The horrors of the Belgian Congo…capitalism. East India Company and then the British Empire…capitalism. The list goes on. Truth is its a desire for power and riches no matter what the beliefs are. People kill millions.

I really don’t want to be curious about how he spends his free time. But there we have it. A man who sees nothing, hears nothing, knows nothing and doesn’t masturbate.

I threw a sandwich at a friend once. He had laughed after his dog bit my hand trying to grab it from me. But it was a plain white squared bread sandwich so it didn’t quite have the arrowed trajectory that a sub might have. More like a spiral. How it looked (or smelt) after it fell I can’t recall.

They’re an outlier and if you know about them you know this.

Why would we want to stop Mandani tho? When Nick ran in New Hampshire it was the establishment Dems who opposed him, the progressive wing of the party were all in on him. That was my first inkling of the potential for a libertarian/progressive alliance. It’s even more of a necessity now.
