It always tickles me to see someone repeat the same boring stereotypical criticisms of libertarians and then the next day quote-post The Unpopulist.

I assume there are many of us on the left-pragmatic wing of the libertarian movement who were willing to give the Dems a chance, excited by Mamdani…not just the win but the man himself…who must be wondering what now?

I’ve been saying for years that the Establishment Democrats don’t care about you, nor do they really care about winning. To them it’s all about fundraising.

People who want to control the bodies of others with state force are not compatible with people who want every individual to control their own body and what goes into or comes out of it.

Government prohibition of abortion is incompatible with libertarianism.

The worst moment in history was when the first person decided they were the leader and everyone had to do what he said (you know it was a guy) and the rest of them didn’t smash his head in with a rock.

When I told one of my friends that Scotland has free healthcare and free higher education yet is required by law to balance the budget with limited tax raising powers, they asked how it was possible? I guess because they don’t spend millions on a militarized police force?
