Temperatures hit 60F today so I decided to check on the hives. We do get chilly in NorCal but not cold enough to stop brood production. This hive's queen has stated on her spring brood production. The left half of the frame, with most of the bees, is where the brood is. The right is honey

I won't be here for the completion of the mandala, but this was the progress from last night's empowerment ceremony. It's absolutely fascinating to watch it come together a few grains of sand at a time.

The monks from Gaden Shartse Thoesam Norling Monastery are on the stop in Northern California for this year. The mandala chosen this year is The Wheel of Life, representing the cycle of existence.

Distraction from 2025 is some new fiber from Miss Babs. It is some serious motivation to get me up on Dec 25 to shop their Gratitude Sale. Gonna make some lightweight sweaters, someday 🤣
