I have a Swedish friend
I mean: Albuquerque is about 1.25x the population of Miami and you have… this

A friend of mine who lives there pointed out that *not only* is the city of Miami smaller than we think (roughly 440,000 people) but NOBODY votes. This is the the final tally from 2021: the number of people who voted for the winner is less than a third of the capacity of the Miami Dolphins’ stadium.

From the map flying around Reddit, looks like the 38 (and part of the 1-California?) are the only bus routes that have eligible stops on the Westside

Part of the fun of having a celebrity crush on Himesh Patel is the number of times I’ve been like, “Oh yeah, so Hamish… oh no, wait, he’s the Other British Guy.”

Pure speculation, but there may be incomplete data? Whenever a gradient map suddenly follows political boundaries (like this farm crop yield map where there’s nothing marked for Nevada or New England) that’s a reasonable suspicion

Oh is this the same Atlantic that is spamming every social media platform I’ve seen with “hey check out this article from 2019 (by a famous former AEI chief and Opus Dei advocate)”? That Atlantic?

It’s especially notable how the business news pubs aren’t falling for it b/c their readership has a financial stake in getting accurate info. There was a lot of chatter about the WSJ’s reporting last week, but it’s been eye-opening to read the FT lately and see how icily they judge this admin too.

It's a tough jam. Media coverage moves public opinion. Right now the US federal government is being world-historically awful but the MSM reporting has been along the lines of "Bold moves from the Trump Admin" and this is what results.
