Tulsi Gabbard revoked my security clearance after learning I'm considering a Senate run.

Laura Loomer and right-wing trolls unleashed a wave of attacks. Then came death threats.

The Trump machine wants to shut me up. But I won't:

I'm running to be Kentucky's next senator.

A peek into ongoing efforts to intimidate professors.
If anyone is curious about the current list of search terms being used by right wing activist organizations to harass university professors, here's a public records request I received today from Mike Howell of the Heritage Foundation. Not intimidating or meant to curtail by my speech at all, right?

"Elbows Up" // Wood Brothers Brewing Co.

Préparation mentale pour la partie de ce soir. Grosse IPA juteuse aux houblons Centennial, Cascade et Chinook. Saveurs de conifères, pamplemousses et herbacée. Houblons et profil aromatique très old school comme le hockey des séries.

Guess who showed up to defend Tesla? The Proud Boys, armed militias, and at one event in Idaho, and a guy dressed as Hitler.

More on the "Tesla Takedown" protests here:
The Proud Boys and Militias Come to Tesla’s Defense
After weeks of “Tesla Takedown” protests, the Proud Boys and other far-right extremist groups are showing up to back Elon Musk's beleaguered car company.

On Feb. 12, 1969, Toronto tested out having "bus bunnies" to make public transit more attractive. The idea was proposed by the Canadian Urban Transportation Conference
The idea was only tested that one day.

After American airspace was closed on 9/11, over 230 flights with 30,000 passengers and crew were diverted to Canadian airports. Transport Canada received thousands of calls from members of the public offering to help the stranded passengers.

Thinking about that today, for no particular reason.

Let's talk about the "escalation ladder". At any point in a conflict, you have a number of self-defense options ranging from lower risk (legally, ethically, physically) to higher risk.

On the bottom rung of the escalation ladder are options like raising your voice. At the top would be deadly force.
In these scenarios, the predator counts on their willingness to use tactics higher up on the "escalation ladder" than what the victim is willing to use.

By the time the victim makes the required mental shift, it's too late. The predator has already maneuvered them into a disadvantaged position. 6/

While this is by no means health advice, these are a few things I’ve found helpful in case you’re also feeling sober curious ’Tis the season to drink far too much and then vow that, next year, you’ll never drink again. Or at least, it used to be that…
