Asking for a resume in order to apply for something off of LinkedIn is so wild to me.

You already have all of the info in the best possible format. Not respecting an applicant's time because your organization refuses to accept a working system is a sure sign your company isn't good to work for.

Does anyone else get upset at their incorrectly applied nail polish only because of their phone's thumbprint scanner?

Hear me out...

A Monster's Inc sequel where dads are powered by groans and that's why they do dad jokes.

You could do 90 minutes of audience torture. And if you really lean into the groan-up humor then parents could enjoy it too... especially the dads.

Maybe the revolution that could bring people together in some kind of effective solidarity is to just completely end any kind of wealth redistribution through taxation.

End all tax "incentives", welfare, & subsidies.

Keep all the normal taxes at normal rates. See who the real moochers are.

The biggest flaw in the modern screen based fingerprint reader is that it's a constant reminder of how poorly you did your nails. IYKYK

Possums live for only a year or two for the most part, but the oldest one recorded lived over 6 and a half years. That's like a human living until they're 250.

I hope all of his possum friends were as impressed as I am.

Neurotypical people be like, "Hey you should come over Saturday at 3, we'll hang out."

And then be confused when you confirm on Friday, and then really shocked when you show up Saturday at 3.

If you don't want me to come over, stop inviting, and then confirming, that you want me to come. I'll come

If the future has history books, it will be very embarrassing for us; for them to read about how close we came to destroying ourselves because it was more entertaining to do so than living well.

These things rhyme because English is dumb:

Newt
Suit
Boot
Lute
(And if you're American) Route

And while some came from Old French and some came from Norman, these have been in English since Old English. So the inconsistent spellings was a choice being made.

A dumb choice.

Guys I've got a great original idea. What if there was a world of people with superpowers, but a bad guy appeared who could steal superpowers from other people?!?

Wouldn't that be wild?

For all those who believe that innovation only comes from the panic that capitalism causes I often ask people what they would create if they didn't have the panic that capitalism causes.

Those things are often better than the things available to us today through capitalism.

I'd write software.

Some of the countries which will have No Kings protests have kings and it's a weird vibe.

Asking someone for help, and asking someone to do their fair share are different, but much closer than some people think.

Forcing someone to do something, and dictating HOW someone do something are also different, but much closer than some people think.

Forcing people to do things is bad. FYI.

I really want a supercut of some Republican congressman going from yelling about small government to saying the executive branch doesn't have to uphold the constitution and citizens don't have the right to due process. I'll bet he wouldn't even have aged that much.

As an immigrant I really wonder when the impulse is going to hit me to pull the ladder up behind me. Because I definitely don't feel that way yet.

Given the behavior I've seen, I was led to believe it was immediate.

If abundant, free, 100% clean energy was invented tomorrow, then dirty energy would still be used and the climate and pollution crisis would still be happening until it was stopped by worldwide regulation. The exact same arguments would be made by the polluters as are made today.

Don't wait.

If anyone ever even pretended to give half a meh about "her emails" then they should be LOSING it over needing to conduct an audit of DOGE employees to verify they are properly practicing data security practices and nothing has been copied or transferred.

How many times does it take for Missouri government overturning the direct will of the people before they just give up the farce and stop voting? It's clearly just a waste of time.

The timeline from:
"It's your fault you can't afford a house" ->
"It's your fault you couldn't afford an education" ->
"It's your fault you can't afford food"

Was shorter than I thought it would be.

It's their fault society sucks. Not yours. But we can damn well FIX it.

If nothing happens or the current administration is even emboldened as a result of the protests, then unfortunately people must realize as a tactic this specific method didn't work. More action must therefore happen. Just don't burn the Reichstag, Communists, because we know what happens next.

NT's be like: I don't like how you said that.
Me: That's funny because I'm actively harmed by the actions you actually took. Weird how people are going to be on your side now.

I think Amber Ruffin should just hold a press conference and tell all the same jokes she was going to say.

The first lines of the "first they came for" poem were socialists and trade unions.

And there's a very good reason they always come for them first.

Solidarity is the only thing that defeats tyranny.

Solidarity forever.

I have never seen a refutation of the necessity of infinite growth of capitalism that considers earth a closed system, or anything like it.

They always give examples of countries, or at best, collections of countries within a single economic market.

Even if space is an option, it's impractical.

I'm very concerned about the trend of the ruling class to purposefully defund or otherwise break systems which gather data for results, to make it more difficult to show their policies are harmful for most people.

Not only government, you also regularly see this in large organizations of all kinds.
