It’s Daz’ birthday. 10 years old! New raincoat and special treat to celebrate. He’ll have his new sheep toy coming later. Happy Birthday special boy.

Daz waiting patiently for his breakfast scraps.

Couldn’t resist taking a photo of a colleague’s desk yesterday. Looked like a surrealist art installation!

Daz’ too! 10 years old in a couple of weeks.

I love Ozzy the Bull.

Found some wonderful greyhound-loving friends on here. Reminded me how lucky we are to have found Daz. He arrived ‘with issues’ but turned into such a loving boy. This is my favourite view of him, grinning with joy at going on an adventure!

Had a lovely walk today dodging bursts of rain. Enjoy watching Daz the greyhound and his curiosity about the world around him (sheep!) so much.

Daz sits to the amazement of this greyhound friends. It’s not what I’d describe as elegant though! At least not as elegant as you’ll see in statues.

Daz wanting to go to bed at 8:45 in the evening. More insistent than Hunter!

My favourite photo of Daz smiling. Another of him trying to pretend he’s sleeping whilst keeping ears out for treats. And another with his tongue hanging out because I love it.

Decided to try to cycle from the train station to work to up my exercise and in hopes it will be quicker and more reliable than taking the bus. Thought a new cycle helmet would inspire me to actually do it and found Newlane folding helmets! I’m in love. wearenewlane.com

Wonderful day on a wonderful campus. Welcome to @unibirmingham.bsky.social

#ieec2025 was amazing and well worth the time away. I did miss Daz though. Can’t really smuggle a greyhound into a conference.

I love facilitating Unconferences! Such high quality discussion going on at the Research in Enterprise Education Unconference session. #REndEd #ieec2025

My disrupter. Daz the greyhound. #ieec2025

Awww. Blossom! #ieec2025. Apparently a metaphor for disruption. How cute though?!

The legendary Dave Jarman at #ieec2025. Love Dave’s work.

This has been a fantastic conference for highlighting the need for conversations about equity of access, sustainability, ethics, and inclusion of many forms of business including co-operatives, social enterprises through to high-growth commercial models. #ieec2025

One of the reasons why being part of the Enterprise Educators UK community means so much to me. #ieec2025 @eeuk.bsky.social

The annual #ieec2025 policy update is here. Always a highlight. Missing @alisonentev.bsky.social who has led this for some time so well. EEUK President Emilee Simmons taking up the challenge this year. Starting message is that we are world leaders in this space but we need to shout about it more.

One of the (many) reasons I love #ieec2025 is there are ‘have a go’ sessions to put yourself in the position of a student for a meaningful amount of time and really reflect on how you teach. ‘Scrubs and Suits’ from Newcastle Uni is brilliant!

#IEEC2025 is go! Been meeting old friends, already making new ones, talking how we get our expertise known by policy makers, and now finding out about what students need and want to know about freelancing

I have completely fallen in love with Dungeness. Now top of my ‘places I want to retire to’ list. Mixture of otherworldly landscape - the UK’s only desert, industrial heritage - fishing and nuclear power station, and amazingly practical architecture - much based around Victorian railway carriages!

What a wonderful place to sit and work though!
