And I hear and understand the folks saying it becoming wealthy on a certain level means buying INTO white supremacy, but again speaking for my peers, we were taught about getting in all the rooms you can and playing the game so you could change things from inside.

So now we know better, we're relearning, etc. What's hard for me is bringing Black billionaires into the "capitalism is evil" convo, bc there are still only 7 of them in the US. Robert Johnson became the first Black billionaire less than 25 years ago...

Many of us were told to go make money... and then bring our ppl with us. Wealth = success, right? We are also a generation of super consumers. Food, media, goods... we're the mall generation.

Oh. That is disappointing. The translations are probably just as bad, too. I remember the weird stuff I saw they'd have Flash characters say in Portuguese, especially the characters of color.
