The fact that sports betting is only legal if the counterparty is a megacorporation and you do it by yourself on your phone really feels like the worst possible outcome. It’s like if the only legal way to buy alcohol was doordashing individual forties and juicebox cocktails.

Usually those forms emphasize high risk professions (arms dealer, gambler, liquor store owner), so you feel like you’re filling out a survey at the Mos Eisley cantina
