Big open world games hit different as a busy adult in my 30’s. Trying to clear one game takes so many months

It’s super annoying that Silksong is FINALLY coming out right at the same time that my video game backlog is the craziest it’s ever been. I MIGHT have time to play it next year

I watched the most recent Captain America movie last night, and I’ve reached a point where I can’t tell if Marvel movies have lost the sauce or if the illusion of quality has been broken and they’ve actually been bad the whole time

The culture war bubbling up around the new Superman movie is one of the dumbest faux conflicts I’ve ever seen

This is a show you don’t want to miss, gonna be a real good time
Whoa wtf we're headlining Falcon Bowl? Okay sure! 🎳

Also it can't be overstated how meaningful it was for Disposable Thumbs to invite us to be part of their album release show. Show those boys some love on their new banger release!

Between Benson Boone, the ominous growth of commercial country, and the way critics/culture can’t stop glazing department store-ass pop like Sabrina Carpenter, I think American music culture may be experiencing a blandness epidemic of unprecedented levels

It’s kind of wild that the US gets to decide who in the world is allowed to have nuclear weapons, considering the US is the only country that’s ever actually used nukes, ESPECIALLY considering those nukes were used on civilians

It bugs me that Turnstile is continually referred to as a hardcore band. Not in an elitist/gatekeepy ~they’re not REAL hardcore~ kind of way, but they’re doing stuff that is new/unique (and GREAT), and -imo- definitely separate from -hardcore- and I think it should be recognized as its own thing

It’s crazy how a lot of the AI features that tech companies are trying to jam into everything are basically just a modernized Bonzi Buddy

I feel like in the last several years, the internet has somehow moved way backwards in terms of being able to find out if a bar has a regular schedule of events or activities

I feel like a potentially good way to combat the rise of toxic ‘manosphere’ influencers for young guys is to emphasize that you can actually totally get laid and find love even if you’re a dumb, fat loser as long as you treat people with dignity and respect and also maybe you’re a little bit funny

A weird side effect of the era of the algorithm is that I engage with media with the understanding that what I choose to watch/listen to/etc has CONSEQUENCES. I sometimes find myself avoiding things I actively enjoy in fear that the algorithm will serve that thing to me too much

Anyone who doesn’t think trans people are legitimate or don’t deserve to freely live their truth is a moron loser who should feel bad about making people’s lives worse for absolutely no good reason
