The last time I picked up this many followers, it was in 2019, when a thread abt turning on my old Apple IIe and having it load a game and a 1980s letter from my dad went globally viral.

Which I say bc I hope the current surge--of refugees from a Nazified place--will bring that whimsy back too.

@devilishdesign.bsky.social brought along some amazing old systems to the Retro computer gathering at the Centre for Computing History, Cambridge. On the last photo, the tiny ceramic ( brownish ) IC is the Intel 8008 CPU - 18 PIN, 3,500 transistors. Considerably smaller than Intel's current CPUs!
