I was pointing out that the original post doesn't cover all Canadians. That we're not far behind; we're not much better than the States.

Well, that's counter to my lived experience. Want to back those claims up, rather than just saying that I'm wrong?

Public support programs are often framed as a burden to society, an expense that needs to be cut by politicians married to neoliberal economics orthodoxy, rather than as an investment in human capital and the public good.

This helps fuel fascist movements. 2/

The principal and the sub could both be active members in the Association, and would be included in that 51 000 teacher number.

As a reluctant substitute, I would love to be full-time. Let's make it happen.

As a complete layperson with no experience with writing/publishing...

I feel like you should do what you want. If you feel like you can bring the art you envision to life, then do it.

The Programs of Study are currently unavailable on the Government website, but I'm pretty sure that the Charter is highly relevant to grade 9 social studies.

That is a strongly worded letter.

But they're not listening. They've got those earplugs in.

I haven't even looked yet at the email they drafted.

I'm going to do that now.

She is literally complaining about how the 3 branches of government have been set up to prevent abuse of power and a balance of power for centuries. Just another profoundly dumb thing from one who once wrote an oped on how smoking is not that bad and suggested we serve tainted me to the unhoused.

One thing that bugs me, and maybe it's pedantic, but it bugs me when Schilling refers to teachers as "they."

He's a teacher too. It's not "they," it's "we." It's not "teachers, they have stood up for public education," it's "we have stood up."

He's one of us.

This UCP government does not believe in the Rule of Law. They believe in the Rule of Power.

What is the Rule of Power? "I've got the power and I'm going to use it, screw your rights"??

I would have preferred physically standing up against this abuse of power, but, you know.

I've got less rights now, because of Bill 2.
