I've been in the Grand Valley for just over 30 years. As a biracial woman, I can tell you, it's uncomfortable for BIPOC folks. I have a group of friends I hang out with, and I intentionally avoid certain places.

The 2024 election results for Mesa County were about 60/40 in favor of Trump. I'd say that's pretty far to the right.

I love the outdoor opportunities in Grand Junction, but the politics are awful.
